I had a great time attending Jenny Saville's exhibition on the 7th September 2025. Once studying her artwork during my Fine Art Bachelor, I was able to return as a graduated Master of Arts to see the true definition of why she is one of Britains most loved artists.

With the exhibition open from the 20th June - 7th September at the price of £21, it is a sure one to visit. Even though it was sold out, you are also able to buy a members pass that lasts a year that allows you access to all exhibitions at no extra cost.

I thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing back to when I first saw her paintings four years ago, feeling entransed, living her life through the movement of the paintbrush and textural explorations.

As you walk through the space, you find yourself fighting for a position, everyone wanted to feel the aroma of the artwork, and to be engulfed. Originally, I wasn't as interested in her most recent project, 'Latent', and favoured 'Propped' during my studies, but now that I have left university and seeing them in the flesh has changed my mind. The power her choice of pallette and layering manages to bring, lets her subjects blend into the surroundings, whilst falling out the painting. The reflection in the eyes, the facial expressions putting you in a trance, makes it feel like you can never be in the space long enough to fully comprehend the scale of talent.

Unfortunately, her exhibition has now come to an end. Enjoy some photos I took whilst there!
